Our specially-trained pediatric occupational therapists work to improve a child's physical development, fine-motor skills, sensory processing skills, social-emotional development, cognition, feeding skills, and visual processing abilities to maximize skills for daily living.

trauma informed approach

Traumatic experiences regardless of its source as well as the consistent exposure to stressful events can impact our bodies negatively from a physical, cognitive, emotional and mental health perspective. Our therapists implement the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration - MNRI(R) Method and the Integrated Listening System’s Safe and Sound Protocol for trauma recovery support.

carina langenbach

Dr. Carina Langenbach is the founder and owner of Neuro Connections Occupational Therapy. Carina immigrated from Germany in 2006, where she began her education in the field of occupational therapy. Since then, she has been working with various patient populations and diagnoses ranging from pediatric to the aging adult. 

She specializes in the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration MNRI® Method, undergoes continuous training to advance her practice and has published a case study demonstrating the effectiveness of the MNRI technique on an individual with an acquired brain injury. She is also a certified Integrated Listening System Provider.

Carina has completed her doctorate in occupational therapy from Creighton University and holds a faculty position educating future occupational therapy assistants.

Marina George

COTA/L

Marina is a certified occupational therapy assistant and obtained her degree in occupational therapy from Pima Medical Institute in Denver, Colorado. Marina is a native to Germany where she was educated as a special needs educator and obtained extensive experience working in a school for children and adults diagnosed with severe developmental delays. Marina has also experience working in a hospice setting for children, where she supported families and their children.

Marina specializes in the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration MNRI® Method. She is also trained in Shiatsu massage, has completed multiple continuing education courses in the area of mental health, sensory processing disorders, and the Feldenkrais method. She consistently undergoes additional training to advance her practice. 

In her free time, Marina loves to watch the Denver Nuggets and the Denver Broncos! Swimming is her stress relieve remedy and if she is not found in the beautiful state of Colorado – she is out and about exploring new cities and countries around the world.

Ashley is a certified occupational therapy assistant. She provides Occupational Therapy services for individuals across the entire lifespan in Colorado Springs, CO and its surrounding areas. Ashley obtained her degree in occupational therapy from Pima Medical Institute in Denver, Colorado. Since then, she has been working with various patient populations and diagnoses ranging from pediatric to the aging adult. Ashley specializes in the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration MNRI® Method intervention and Trauma Informed Care. She has completed multiple continuing education courses in sensory processing, mental health in children & adolescents, as well as social and behavioral techniques. She continues to undergo training to advance her practice. 

In her free time you can find Ashley exploring the beautiful Colorado Mountains, volunteering for the Special Olympics and being involved in her community.
